Rainy today with temps in the upper 40s

Clouds and occasional rain showers will continue today with rainfall amounts generally a half inch or less. Clouds and rain will create a very chilly day with some areas not climbing out of the 40s for the first time since April. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 p.m., then showers likely. High near 47. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Cloudy, with a low around 41. North northwest wind 8 to 13 mph.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. Light southeast wind.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 73. Light south southeast wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Friday Night: Showers likely after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: Showers. High near 75. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Sunday: A chance of showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 46.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 70.
