16-year-old injured in Nodaway County crash

A teenager was injured Monday morning in a crash just west of Maryville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Cody Lundblade of Maryville was driving a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 westbound on MO-46 around 6:30 a.m. when he was surprised by another vehicle’s lights from the other direction as he crested a hill. The patrol said Lundblade drove partially into Galaxy road, over corrected onto MO-46, crossed the center of the roadway and began to skid. The pickup then went off the road and came to rest in a creek bottom. Lundblade was transported by EMS to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of what was described as a moderate injury. He was not reported to be wearing a seat belt.
