A woman was life-flighted after a two-vehicle crash Monday on US-65 in Mercer County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 58-year-old Lawrence Devitt of Iowa was driving at 1998 Ford northbound passing another vehicle on US 65 and hit a 2004 Saturn head-on driven by 63-year-old Jackie Kosta, also of Iowa. The crash took place around 11:10 a.m. at Lineville, Mo. Kosta was flown by Mercy 1 to Mercy Hospital for treatment of what was described as a serious injury. Devitt was taken by ambulance to Wayne County Hospital for treatment of what was described as a moderate injury. Both were reported to be wearing seat belts.
