WYANDOTTE COUNTY — A Missouri man died in an accident just before 7:30a.m. Wednesday in Wyandotte County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Thomas W. Adkins, 41, Independence, was eastbound on Interstate 70 on the ramp to 18th Street southbound.

The vehicle traveled off the road to the left, re-entered the roadway, overturned and traveled off the road to the right.

Adkins was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the KHP.
