Hopkins teen seriously injured in rollover crash

A Hopkins teen was seriously injured in a rollover crash Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, around 7:30 p.m. Friday, 16-year-old Olivia P. Miller was driving a Honda Accord south on US-71 about six miles south of Burlington Junction. According to the crash report, Miller was distracted and failed to negotiate a curve. The car skidded, hit an embankment and a Chevron sign and began to roll. Miller was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported by private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville for treatment of serious injuries.

According to the crash report, Miller was not wearing a seat belt.
