Temps in the 20s today, warmer tomorrow

This morning will start off chilly with low temperatures in the single digits and wind chill values below zero across the area. Temperatures will warm up to near freezing today but winds will keep it feeling like the teens to lower 20s. A warm up will occur Thursday afternoon with high temperatures in the upper 40s to possibly the lower 50s south of HWY 50. A cold front will return to the area Friday afternoon splitting the area up with high temps in the 20s north of the MO River and in the 40s south of the Missouri River. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. North northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph after midnight.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 42. South southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. East southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northeast after midnight.

Friday: Cloudy, with a high near 29. North northeast wind 7 to 13 mph.

Friday Night: A chance of snow after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 15. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 20. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Saturday Night: Snow likely before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 13.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 42.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Tuesday: A chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
