(February 21, 2018) – The St. Joseph School District was notified by police on Wednesday of a vague threat on social media regarding Central High School.

The district received a screenshot of a message shared on Snapchat and other social media sites saying, “Be ready central high school. (Expletive) you.” Police are investigating the source of the message and if it is credible.

According to a press release, the district takes student safety seriously and as a precaution, police will have an increased presence at the school. The district adds that any time anyone sees something suspicious to notify a school principal or law enforcement.
