KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Authorities say man who had just left a Kansas City dance club was gunned down while sitting on a bench.
Police say a vehicle came to a stop early Sunday in front of 24-year-old Ta’Ron Carson early Sunday and that the occupants got out, shot Carson and fled. Carson was rushed to a hospital and pronounced dead. Police provided no information on a motive.
The Kansas City Star reports that friend Gary Junior of Kansas City described Carson as “always himself” and a strong advocate of the LGBT community. Friends were not aware of any conflicts or concerns when Carson left the dance club after a night of electronic dance music.
