(UPDATE Tuesday 1:30 p.m.) Two arrests have been made as a result of the investigation in an officer involved shooting in Daviess County Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver, 52-year-old Elmer Martin Sorrell of High Ridge, Missouri, was arrested on a Daviess County felony warrant for assault first degree-serious physical injury or special victim, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, stealing-firearm, stealing-$750 or more, resisting or interfering with arrest.
The passenger, 55-year-old Lisa Ann Legge of Washington, Missouri, has been arrested for the following charges: armed robbery first degree, burglary first degree, felony stealing.
The charges stem from a home invasion Monday in Ridgeway in Harrison County.
Sorrell is in stable condition and guarded at a Kansas City area hospital. Legge is incarcerated at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department.

A suspect was wounded after a theft led to a foot chase and shots fired in Daviess County.
According to a news release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 10:46 a.m. on Monday, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department advised Troop H Headquarters of a theft in progress at a residence in Ridgeway. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department provided a description of a vehicle involved in the incident and advised the suspect vehicle was southbound on Interstate 35.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description southbound on I-35. While attempting to overtake the suspect vehicle, the trooper observed the vehicle exit I-35 and travel west on Route N in Daviess County. The trooper overtook the suspect vehicle and saw it slide through the intersection of Route N and US 69 and crash into a ditch.
Preliminary investigations revealed the male driver and a female occupant fled the vehicle with the trooper pursuing on foot. The male suspect fired shots at the trooper. The trooper returned fire, hitting the suspect who was then taken into custody. The female was apprehended a short time later.
The suspect was transported by ambulance to a Kansas City area hospital.
Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and Daviess County Sheriff’s Department are conducting the investigation into the shooting.
