Mo. woman dies, 3 hospitalized after car goes airborne, overturns

BOONE COUNTY — A Missouri woman died in an accident just before 8p.m. Thursday in Boone County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Dodge Caliber driven by Amber D. Light, 22, Columbia, was southbound on Route O south of Brome Road.

The vehicle crested a hill, became airborne, overturned and ejected the driver.

Light, who was the only occupant not wearing a seat belt, was transported to University Hospital where she died, according to the MSHP.

EMS transported passengers Autumn C. Light, 20; Trevor L. Light, 13, and an infant Jayden A. Light, all of Columbia to University were also transported to University hospital with minor injuries.
