DAVIESS COUNTY — A Pattonsburg man died in an accident just before 7 p.m. Monday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a Polaris Sportsman driven by Dallas J. Allen, 30, Pattonsburg, was eastbound behind a 2004 Yamaha Raptor driven by Robert A. Vessar, 29, Hamilton, on Mo. 6 at 140th Street in the city of Winston.

The Polaris rear-ended the Yamaha when it slowed to make a left turn. Both vehicles overturned and all occupants were ejected.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to McWiliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.
Vessar and a passenger on the Polaris, Carly J. Allen, 10, Pattonsburg, were transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

Dallas Allen was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
