CALLAWAY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating the murder of a Missouri man and have a suspect in custody.

The Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Amy Steward, 44, of Holts Summit with Murder in the First Degree and Felony Delivery of a Controlled Substance, according to a media release from the sheriff’s department.

The charge is the result of the April 27, murder investigation near Holts Summit conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad members.

The victim has been identified as David Grant, 67, of Holts Summit

Steward is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond. Authorities released no additional details.
