Missouri man dies after car hits a tree

CLAY COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 1p.m. Sunday in Clay County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Ford passenger vehicle driven by James W. Glyn, 65, Holden, was southbound on Interstate 435 just north of 108th Street.

The vehicle left the road and struck a tree.  Holden was transported to Liberty hospital where he died.

He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
