Rock Port woman seriously injured in Tuesday morning crash

A Rock Port woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 6:38 a.m., 55-year-old Tami R. Hughes was driving a Ford Explorer north on US 275 at 175th St. about four miles north of Rock Port, when the vehicle traveled off the east side of the road. The vehicle traveled back onto the road, crossed the center line, went off the west side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned.

Hughes was transported to Community Hospital in Fairfax for treatment of serious injuries. According to the crash report, she was wearing a seatbelt.
