Temps in the 80s and 90s through the week

Very warm temperatures return today and linger through the week, and while dry conditions will persist through at least midweek, a few showers and thunderstorms are possible by Thursday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 65. South wind 3 to 7 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming east in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. South southeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 90.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.
