ADAIR COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 3:30p.m. Tuesday in Adair County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1981 International truck driven by Gene D. McVey, 80, Kirksville, was southbound on U.S. 63, one mile north of Kirskville. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned.

McVey was pronounced dead at the scene.  He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
