JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. — A Missouri man died in an accident just before 1p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Chevy Silverado driven by Abrahm C. Jansen Van Rensburg, 51, Drexel, Mo., was northbound on Interstate 35, one mile north of 135th Street.

The truck left the road way. The vehicle then went to the right and collided into a bridge pillar.

Jansen Van Rensburg was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to First Call. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
