TANEY COUNTY­ — One person died in an accident just before 11p.m. Monday in Taney County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Mini Cooper driven by Paola M. Morales, 18, Cedar Creek, was northbound on Highway M fifteen miles southeast of Kissee Mills. The vehicle ran off the road, overturned and struck a tree.

Morales was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Welch’s Funeral Home.  A passenger Carson L. Wells, 16, Cedar Creek, was transported to Cox South. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
