JACKSON COUNTY — One person died in an accident just after 8pm. Thursday in Jackson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by Haleigh Bowlin, 26, Blue Springs, was westbound on Interstate 470 at U.S. 50.

The right rear portion of the Toyota hit a 2002 Harley Davidson driven by Kevin W. Dawson, 55, Harrisonville. The motorcycle overturned and ejected Dawson. He was transported to Research Medical Center where he died.

Bowlin was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP. Authorities released no additional details.
