COOPER COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 8p.m. Sunday in Cooper County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Anthony D. Martin, 52, Kansas City, was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Huntsdale exit.

The driver began to brake, the motorcycle ran off the road and hit the guardrail. The motorcycle returned to the road and the driver was ejected.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Howard Funeral Home.
