Another mild day is expected today with highs in the mid 40s to the north to mid 50s to the south. However, tonight drizzle or light rain will overspread the region from south to north. Areas across northern Missouri may drop below freezing as this moisture moves in making freezing drizzle or light freezing rain possible. If temperatures do drop below freezing expect slick roadways and use extreme caution when driving. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: A chance of drizzle, mainly after 3 a.m. Increasing clouds, with a low around 30. South southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Thursday: A chance of freezing drizzle before 9 a.m., then a chance of drizzle between 9 a.m. and noon, then a chance of rain after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 39. North wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of drizzle before midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. North wind 8 to 11 mph.
