CASS COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 7p.m. Saturday in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Saturn passenger vehicle driven by Doris M. Graef, 82, Harrisonville, was improperly stopped on southbound Interstate 49 near the Route 2 Harrisonville exit.
A 2014 Ford passenger vehicle driven by Chris A. Davis, 33, Archie, overtook and rear-ended the Saturn.

Graef was pronounced dead at the scene. Davis and a passenger Lauren A. Finley, 28, Archie, were transported to Research Medical Center. The occupants of the Ford were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
