Sunny skies later today with temps in the 20s

After a Tuesday rain that transitioned to freezing rain and snow, road conditions Wednesday morning are slick. Otherwise, temperatures will generally be colder than normal over the next week with the possible exception of Sunday. There will continue to be sporadic wintry precipitation chances as well. But at the moment, no major winter storms are on the horizon. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 24. North northwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north northwest after midnight.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a temperature falling to around 11 by 5 p.m. Wind chill values between -3 and 7. North northwest wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 1. Wind chill values between -4 and -9. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable.

Friday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 30. South wind 6 to 13 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.

Friday Night: A slight chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 27.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 39.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.

Monday: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 18.
