BUCHANAN COUNTY — Three people were injured in an accident just after 9p.m. Wednesday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Timothy E. Stone, 29, Hamilton, was westbound on U.S. 36 one mile east of Easton.

The vehicle slid on the ice off the road, traveled backwards down an embankment and struck a tree.

Dekalb Clinton County ambulance transported Stone and passengers Kasey L. Elliot, 23, and a baby to Mosaic Life Care. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
