ATCHISON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 11:30 a.m. Monday in Atchinson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Honda Accord driven by Jacob RollieSims, 19, Horton,was westbound on Kansas 116 for miles north of Nortonville.

The vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

Sims was transported to the hospital in Atchison. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
