GENTRY COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 8 p.m. Monday in Gentry County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by Kiera D. Greer, 18, Stanberry, was westbound on U.S. 136 one mile west of Stanberry. The vehicle rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy driven by Eli L. Shrock, 28, Stanberry.
The impact ejected Shrock from the buggy.
Grand River EMS transported Shrock to NW Medical Center and then air-lifted him to North KC Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Greer was not transported for treatment. Greer was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
The MSHP updated the crash reported to show Shrock was seriously injured while no injuries were reported for Greer. It was previously reported that Greer was injured in the crash. The story was updated with the changes Wednesday morning.
