ANDREW COUNTY— One person was injured in an accident just after 7 a.m. Sunday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Chevy pickup pulling a trailer and driven by Wilson M. Vasquez-Chavez, 29, North Platte, NE., was northbound on Interstate 29 four miles north of St. Joseph.

The pickup left the road, struck an embankment and became airborne. The trailer became unhooked from the pickup and the cargo was ejected.

Andrew County EMS transported Vasquez-Chavez to Mosaic Life Care. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
