Some roads re-open in Livingston County, part of 36 still closed

Some roads in Livingston County are re-opening Friday morning.

According to Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, U.S. 36 East from Chillicothe is opening and will be two lane traffic initially.

Highway 190 at Thompson River Bridge has also opened.

Sheriff Cox urges motorists to be cautious as the shoulder on 190 has eroded in places and could cause vehicle damage if you drive off the paved portion of the road.

Cox says there is no time estimate to re-open U.S. 36 West from Chillicothe to Utica or for U.S. 65 south of Chillicothe as the water remains over the roadway.
