BUCHANAN COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30p.m. Monday in Buchanan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Toyota Sienna driven by Christopher C. Wilkes, 25, Kansas City, was southbound on Interstate 229 in St. Joseph. The vehicle traveled into the median, returned to the road, skidded off the south side of the road and overturned and the driver was ejected.

Buchanan County EMS transported Wilkes to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
