The St. Joseph Mustangs suffered their second loss of the season Monday as they fell at Jefferson City 6-4.

Jeff City scored single runs in second, third, fourth and fifth innings to take a 4-0 lead before the Mustangs rallied with three runs in the sixth. That was as close as St. Joseph would get as the Renegades extended their lead to 6-3 before the Mustangs scored one run in the ninth inning.
St. Joe committed six errors Monday and the three Mustangs pitchers combined to walk ten batters.
Cameron July suffered the loss as he allowed three runs and two hits in three innings of work. He struck out four and walked six.
Hampton Hudson, playing in his first game of the season for St. Joseph, went 2-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI. Karl Koerper added a double and one run batted in.
The Mustangs play in Jefferson City again Tuesday as the first pitch with the Renedages is set for 7:00 p.m. from Vivion Field.
