TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) – The Kansas Division of Motor Vehicles will resume issuing and renewing driver’s licenses and non-driver identification cards Thursday, following a two-day outage caused by computer problems.
The agency said problems with a computer vendor’s serve brought down the system Tuesday at all 111 driver’s license offices statewide.
The division issued a brief statement late Wednesday afternoon saying service would resume Thursday morning. The offices are open Tuesdays through Fridays and get about 13,000 visitors a week.
