Two bank robberies sixty miles and two weeks apart in north central Missouri have the FBI investigating a possible repeat performance by the same man.

Bank employees, and surveillance cameras offered a similar physical description, and authorities say other details were similar, from the way he dressed to the way he stole and later abandoned his getaway vehicle.

A man walked into the Preferred Bank in Brookfield June 1, showed a weapon, announced he was robbing the bank, and left with an unreleased amount of cash.  Officers later found his escape vehicle abandoned nearby.  It had been stolen.

Rebecca Wu, a spokeswoman for the FBI based in St. Louis, says the robber was described as a white male, between 25 and 30 years old, about six feet tall with a medium build.   That description comes pretty close to one given by the victims of a bank robbery in Hamilton May 19th.

Wu says the suspect in the Brookfield robbery wore a black paintball mask, heavy canvas overalls, a flannel shirt, gloves and boots.

The description and surveillance video from the Hamilton robbery paint a similar picture.  That suspect wore a heavy black jacket and pants.  He wore a motorcycle helmet and used a scarf to cover his face.  Below is a picture from the surveillance video at the Hamilton Robbery.
