Suspects In Teen’s Murder Win Venue Changes

AVA, Mo. (AP) — Two suspects in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old southwest Missouri boy will be tried in different counties.

A Douglas County judge granted change of venue requests for two men accused of killing Kenny Stout of Republic last December.

Twenty-nine-year-old Christopher Jorgensen of Ava will be tried in Henry County and 26-year-old Nathan Jensen of Seymour will be tried in Pulaski County. They are both charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and abandonment of a corpse.

Prosecutors say Stout was beaten and left alive in the woods. They allege the two suspects later returned and Stout was stabbed to death. A motive for the death has not been released.
