The City of St Joseph announced a one-day road closing on a busy stretch of Riverside Road, and officials say there could be additional closures for the next month or two.

Riverside Road, from Beachwood Boulevard to Valley View Drive, will be closed for concrete work Tuesday, August 21 from approximately 8:30am to 2pm. There is a short one-block detour in place for motorists.

For the next month or two, depending on progress and weather, traffic will be reduced to one lane within the construction zone for work to continue.

Officials urge you to exercise caution while in construction zones to ensure your safety and that of crews working.
