The Northwest Missouri State women’s soccer team fell on the road to Truman State 3-0 Sunday in MIAA action.
The Bulldogs came into the contest 4-1 with a lot of momentum and the Bearcats could not keep up.
The first half was a battle as Northwest was only able to manage 4 shots on goal. The Bulldogs took the lead at the 29 minute mark with a Trisha Shoemaker goal. Truman added one more goal with only seconds left in the first half to go ahead 2-0.
Northwest worked hard in the second half to get the goals back, but to no avail. Kristina Weishar put in her second goal of the game to put the Bulldogs ahead 3-0.
Northwest is now 3-2-1 on the season and 1-1 in MIAA play. They continue MIAA competition heading to Missouri Western Friday at 7 p.m.
