The Missouri Western football team moved up one spot in this weeks AFCA Poll which was released early Monday morning.
The Griffons sit 11th after defeating #15 Emporia State University 57-28 in Emporia, Kan. last Thursday evening. The victory marked the second consecutive road victory over a top-25 team.
This week the Griffons take on its third consecutive top-25 team when they host the 25th ranked Washburn Ichabods on Saturday, November 3. Kickoff is set for 1:30 pm in Spratt Stadium. The Griffons will also honor the football seniors prior to the game and welcome back all football alums for alumni weekend.
MWSU is 8-1 overall and 7-1in MIAA play. The Griffons have been ranked in the top 25 in the last 17 polls and have received votes in 35 of the last 39 coaches polls. This is the 45th time under Partridge that a Griffon team is ranked in the top-25.
