Missouri Western moves up to No. 10 in D2football.com poll

Missouri Western football defeated Emporia State last week 57-28, and now sit in the top-10 in the nation according to d2football.com’s latest poll released Tuesday morning.

The Griffons, who were No. 12 last week, moved up two spots after the road victory, and now play at home against Washburn University Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

They are 8-1 on the year with a 7-1 conference record. Missouri Western is 2-0 against the top-25 after defeating No. 16 Pittsburg State 63-14 two weeks ago before its latest win over the 25th ranked Hornets.

MWSU was also recognized on beyond sports college network’s website, as the Griffons offensive line was voted the Offensive Line of the Week and kicker Taylor Anderson was named Special Teams Kicker of the Week.
