St Joe police are hoping you can help their investigation into reports of suspicious incidents at local school bus stops. Commander Jim Connors say they received two such reports on Tuesday, October 30.
Connors says the incidents occurred between 8:20 and 8:30 a.m. at 35th and Pacific and at 34th and Jackson streets.
He says a white male and white female were trying to entice children to come over to their vehicle, a dark colored or black truck.
It is unknown what their intentions were. The St.Joseph Police Department is investigating the incidents and have increased patrols in the area.
The initial incident was reported to school authorities when the child arrived at school. District officials had the school send out a letter to parents. The second report was not made to the police until after school Tuesday as the second student didn’t tell anyone until after arriving home and telling a parent.
Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 238-TIPS (8477)
