Honor Flight To Recognize Remaining WW2 Vets

Honor Flight hopes to serve all remaining World War Two veterans in this area with two final trips next year. Flight Leader Erin Winstead of Kansas City says the youngest surviving World War Two veterans are now in their mid-80s. The Honor Flight Network of Kansas City has taken more than 500 World War Two veterans to Washington DC for an all-expenses-paid visit to their Memorial, the Arlington National Cemetary, and other historic sites.

Winstead is now raising funds for two charter flights in April and September at a cost of $60,000 each. To help with a donation, to volunteer, or to apply as a World War Two veteran, click here.
