Elizabeth Michelle Myers, 37, Bonner Springs, Kansas died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home. She was born July 21, 1975, in Kansas City, Missouri to Bill and Nancy Huntsman. Elizabeth married Greg Myers on May 26, 2001. He survives of the home. Liz was an Associate with Ronald W. Nelson PA, which has its offices in Lenexa, Kansas. She joined the firm in 2012. She attended Washburn University School of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor in 2004. She was a member of the Johnson County, Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, Women Attorneys of Manhattan, the Kansas Women Attorneys Association, and the Kansas Child Support Enforcement Association. Survivors: husband, Greg, Bonner Springs, Kansas; two children, Keaton and Evelyn; parents, Bill Huntsman and Nancy Huntsman; brothers, Steve Johnson (Kimberly), and Joe Huntsman; and nieces and a nephew. Hazel F. Buie, 86, Woodlands, Texas died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born December 8, 1925 to Lester and Lula (Gregory) Kerns. Hazel married Virgil W. Buie on July 17, 1943. Mrs. Buie was a special education teacher at Lindbergh and Lake Contrary for 17½ years. She was also a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Travis Buie; brothers, Artie and Jesse Kerns; sisters, Lois Honeycutt, Veda Todd, Rita Davis, Georgia Russell, and Shirley Stufflebean. Survivors: son, Tommy Buie (Victoria), Gower, Missouri; daughter, Guelda Cullen (Michael), Woodlands, Texas; grandchildren, Thor Gunnells, Zak Gunnells, Heather Gunnells-Escamilla, Aaron and Cameron Buie, Myles Cullen, Kim Cullen, and Elizabeth Cullen-Cody; ten great-grandchildren; a multitude of nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Melva Reinert. Edward Eugene Anderson, Sr.

Edward Eugene Anderson Sr., 79, St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at his home. He was born November 9, 1933 to Charles and Alice Bell (Torson) Anderson in Horton, Kansas. Edward married Arlene Norvell on October 8, 1952. She survives of the home. He spent twenty-eight years in the Navy and Army National Guard where he made lifelong friends. Mr. Anderson was a truck driver for Imperial Oil Company for nineteen years, Saint Joseph Petroleum for sixteen years and was a devoted employee wherever he worked. He was a member of Woodson Chapel Christian Church, American Legion Post # 11, Eagles Lodge #49, and the Army National Guard 20 Year Club. Edward was dearly loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a friend to all who met him, always had a smile and a sweet word for the ladies, and a joke for all of the guys. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed long trips. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife; son, Edward Anderson, Jr. (Josie), Forest City, Missouri; daughter, Cynthia Spalding (Michael), St. Joseph, Missouri; two grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren. H. Marcella Young, 93, Savannah, Missouri died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born September 18, 1919 to John and Verleen (Hall) Hopkins. Marcella married August C. Young on September 24, 1938. They were married for 74 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Savannah. She traveled through four states for 14 years entertaining as a member of the Hopkins Sisters Review and also taught tap dancing and was a Missouri Flying Farmers Queen in the 1950’s. Mrs. Young was a farmer’s wife and enjoyed raising her family on the farm. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roscoe Young; sisters, Lois Lockwood, Fern Wray, Mioma Bing, and Yvonne Jackson. Survivors: husband; son, Lavelle Young (Doti), Savannah, Missouri; daughter, Gayneita Shaw (Eldon), El Paso, Texas; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
