Kathy Hurtig

1942-2012

Kathy Hurtig, 70, St. Joseph, Missouri died Friday, November 30, 2012 at a local healthcare facility. She was born February 27, 1942 to Louis Lee and Alma Lorraine (Shaver) Gruell in St. Joseph, Missouri. Kathy worked at Carnation/Friskies from 1978 to 2004. She enjoyed crafting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Daniel Carmona; grandson, Jacob Carmona; and sister, Peggy Lee Masters. Survivors: two sons, Ralph Carmona and wife, Council Bluffs, Iowa and Michael Carmona, North Carolina; two daughters, Angelina Marie Harmond and family and Theresa Hogan and family, both of Temecula, California; sister, Judy Davis; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles E. Leimbach

1945-2012

FERNWOOD, Idaho – Charles “Chuck” Edward Leimbach 67, passed away December 1, 2012 at his home in Fernwood, after a seven year battle with lung cancer.

Chuck was born the fourth son of John and Irma (Scofield) Leimbach on March 20, 1945, near Stewartsville, Mo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Plattsburg, Mo., graduated from Plattsburg High School, class of 1963; attended Highland Junior College, Highland, Kan., before joining the U.S. Air Force, where he served eight years, with an honorable discharge.

He retired from the Civil Service in March 2005, after 34 years at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

With the love of hunting and fishing, he moved to Idaho, where he’s lived with his wife of32 years, Glenna Lee (Goetz), who survives him of the home.

He is also survived by children: Cristina, Janet Lynn and Clinton and their children; his siblings, Robert (Norma), Hickory, N.C.; Leonard (Glenda), John C., all of St. Joseph; Carrie Psyhogios, Owasso, Okla.; Helen (Arthur) Zech, Plattsburg; Barbara Ann (Edmond) Coon, Rochester Hills, Mich.; David (Dianne), Senoia, Ga.; and Donna Faye (Paul) Johnson, Avon Park, Fla.; her brother, Irvin “Skip” Goetz, Bull Shoals, Ark.; 15 nieces and nephews; 26 cousins and many friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left in his memory to First Baptist Church, Plattsburg, or Cancer Research Foundation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Plattsburg.
