Things are starting to look a little different at Second Harvest Community Food Bank. Harvest House, our on-site pantry, is undergoing major renovations.
These renovations will transform Harvest House into Fresh Start, Your Community Market.

The grand opening is right around the corner, so Second Harvest is hosting three membership sign-up events that will allow members to start shopping as soon as Fresh Start opens.
Fresh Start will serve as a nonprofit grocery store that will provide free, nutritious food to qualified Members. To shop at Fresh Start, people must first obtain a no-cost Fresh Picks Membership card. Membership is based on income guidelines. For example, if a family of four makes less than $46,000, they may be eligible to shop. However, each family is unique so Second Harvest encourages people to attend the sign-up events to see if they qualify.
“Fresh Start provides a unique opportunity that will provide autonomy and choice to its Members,” said Christine Feuerbacher, director of programs at Second Harvest. “Members will not only have access to fresh, nutritious donated food at no cost to them, but they can also help sustain the market by purchasing additional items for their families using cash, debit or SNAP.”
