A longtime St Joe cop hangs up his badge Monday.

Commander Jim Connors has been with the department more than 30 years.

He has served as patrol officer, public information officer and commander of the detectives division.

 

On his Facebook page, Connors writes: “To my family friends and co-workers, I have had a great career and I thank you for the support. I’ll be involved in other endeavors, stay tuned.”

Captain Janice Rothganger will act as interim commander of the Detectives Division. Connors tells us there will be a selection process starting next week to choose his successor.
