A 17-year-old student at Savannah High School is being held without bond on charges he threatened students at the school earlier this week.
Austin James Dent is charged with two counts of making a terrorist threat, a class C felony.
Dent was arrested earlier this week after the school administration reported the threats.
Andrew County Prosecuting Attorney Steve Stevenson filed the charges on Thursday.
“The allegation is that the young man made two distinct threats,” Stevenson said, “one to blow up the school, and one to bring a gun to kill other young people at the school.”
Stevenson said the threats were allegedly made in front of at least two witnesses.
Dent was arraigned Friday before Andrew County Associate Circuit Judge Michael J. Ordnung. He’s due back in court for a case review January 8.
