Two recent Powerball jackpot winners live within a few counties of each other, taking the already long odds against winning to new heights.

A Johnson County, Kansas couple has won this week’s $50 million dollar jackpot. Unlike last month’s Platte County winners, we won’t get to meet this lucky pair.

Kansas is one of just a few states that allows lottery winners to remain anonymous.

The couple, in their 70s, have been married for 48 years. They have three children and five grandchildren.

The pair bought the winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 11023 Johnson Drive in Shawnee, Kansas.
