Two people were treated for injuries after a traffic accident in Doniphan County Wednesday evening.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Jay Cluck of Troy, Kansas slowed down to turn left off US-36. Another motorist, 50-year-old Jerry Stewart of St Joseph, was unable to stop in time.

Both Stewart and Cluck were taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center. Both were treated and released.

The accident happened about a mile and a half east of Troy on US-36 highway at Ottumwa Road at 5:19 p.m. Wednesday.
