A teenager from Atchison, Kansas was killed Sunday in a one-vehicle crash in Leavenworth County, Kansas.

According to a crash report from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Desirae Crossland, 15, was a passenger in a Pontiac Sunfire that crashed along U.S. 73 highway at County Road 33 in Leavenworth, Kansas.

State troopers say the driver over-corrected when the vehicle started drifting. The car entered  a ditch, went through a fence and rolled over into a pond.

The driver, 18-year-old Felicity Crossland, and another passenger, Kelsey Essig, 18, suffered disabling injuries. All three occupants were from Atchison.

The accident happened at about 5:48 p.m. Sunday.
