The annual “Canstruct Your Habitat” promotion at the East Hills Shopping Center raised over $19 thousand for Habitat for Humanity, and brought in 4.2 tons of food for area charities.

Eight teams competed, including one from Eagle Radio and the East Buchanan High School FFA Chapter.  Teams used donated food items to construct “habitats.”

The team from the North Belt Walmart took the People’s Choice Award for the most money raised.  The South Belt Walmart took second place and Hillshire Brands took third.
