A Highway Patrol Trooper shot and killed a motorist during a traffic stop near Craig last night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the Trooper stopped a southbound vehicle on Interstate 29 at 8:16 pm near the 91-mile marker. The Patrol says there was a struggle and the Trooper fatally shot the driver.

The Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating.
