John Henry Clark, 63, Bellevue, Nebraska died Monday, February 4, 2013 at a healthcare facility in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born December 9, 1949 to Albert and Margaret Clark in St. Joseph, Missouri. John retired from Burlington Northern Railroad and then was an over the road truck driver for Trans-Am Trucking. He was an avid bowler and loved flying an airplane. He enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events and playing chess with his twin grandsons. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Paul. Survivors: daughter, Deitra Brownlee (Demetrius), Kansas City, Missouri; son, Terrence Clark, St. Joseph, Missouri; grandchildren, Jordan and Jaran Brownlee, Terrence, Torre, Tamaira, and Kynnadi Clark; brothers, Albert, Alfred, Michael, Richard, Robert and Jimmy; sisters, Alice, Judy, Mary and Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Myrna L. Peters, 68, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at her home. She was born February 28, 1944 to Pete and Mary Hale in St. Joseph, Missouri. Myrna married Jerry Peters on April 5, 1983. He survives of the home. She was an avid pet lover, enjoyed her horses, liked to cook, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Peters was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mike Hale; sister, Judy Babb; and step-son, Steven Peters. Jacqueline Helen (Bosslet) Conant, 79, St. Joseph, Missouri died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her home. She was born March 13, 1933 to Joseph and Rose Bosslet. Jacqueline married Darrell “Pat” Conant on April 17, 1954. He survives of the home. She was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, a member of Ladies Altar Society at St. Patrick’s in Chanute, attended several Lifetime Living Courses at NCCC, and loved to cook and entertain. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan Neely; sister, Mary Jane Kuntz; brothers, Robert, Edward, and Jimmy Bosslet. Survivors: husband; sons, Patrick (Sue), Steven (Kari), and Kevin (Kelly) Conant; daughters, Karen Cook (Martin), and Sharon Roybal (Lance); eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Charles (Carol), Richard (Stephanie), and Michael Bosslet; and numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Cecil Darrel “Pete” Nicholas, 94, Hopkins, Missouri, died Tuesday, February
05, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital, Maryville, Missouri.
Pete was born March 27, 1918, in Coburg, Iowa to Thomas Toy and Bessie
Florence (Clark) Nicholas.
When he was eighteen years old, Pete joined the Buena Vista CCC Camp #4787
in 1933, south of Burns, Oregon. Franklin D. Roosevelt was President and
responsible for starting CCC camps all over the United States. Many of the
projects built during these camps are still in use today.
He was a retired farmer, carpenter and construction worker, having worked
for the Green Bay Lumber Company, Clarinda, Iowa in the 50’s and Dusenburg
Construction during the 60’s.
Cecil was a member of the Hopkins Baptist Church, Hopkins, Missouri.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers Lloyd and Carl
Nicholas; two sisters Opal Nicholas and Vera Mae Snodderley.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula O’Neal, Braddyville, IA; two grandsons
Andrew O’Neal, Braddyville, Aaron Nicholson and Lisa Nicholson, Clarinda,
Iowa; two great grandchildren Marissa Brown and Willow Nicholson; three
step-great grandchildren Amanda Bedsworth, Mikeal Carlson and Kristoffer
Martinsen; two step great-greatgrandsons and a host of other friends and
loved ones.
Visitation will be 2-4 PM, Sunday, February 10, at the Price Funeral Home,
Maryville; where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, February
11, 2013. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Fairfax, Missouri.
